  iDesign – CNC Machining Program

Lincoln High School, located in Placer County, California, is introducing the new iDesign – CNC Machining Program in spring 2008. Students will learn how to design projects in 3D computer software and then create jewelry, tools, toys, and auto parts in wood, plastic and metal on manual and automated equipment. The Sierra College Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT) won a $250,000 grant from the California Community College Chancellor’s Office to develop this new Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machining program to prepare high school students for high paying manufacturing jobs in demand locally (PDF Flyer).

Learn more about the program, teacher, and educational pathways that this Lincoln High School program can introduce you to and career opportunities in the fields of CNC machining, design, engineering, materials science and Mechatronics.
